Chained Vase 012
This vessel was wheel thrown and trimmed, and each chain link was made and attached by hand. The interior of the vase was glazed with a satin-matte willow green glaze and the exterior was kept raw to showcase the natural beauty of the clay as well as to maintain the mobility of the chains and prevent them from fusing to the body. The vessel was made with a red stoneware clay body and the chain was made from white stoneware.
